Dealing with emotions Alcohol Free
My Year No Beer (Week 5)
This week I reflect how dealing with emotions alcohol free forces you to discover healthier coping strategies to process and deal with the emotions instead of using alcohol to numb feeling negative emotions. I have to become more emotionally resilient.
The one thing I always remember is however bad things feel at any moment in time, life is transient and you won’t always feel that way.
By sitting with, accepting their presence and processing the emotions, I find they are much easier to let go off and since I’ve not drunk I don’t have those emotions exasperated by any effects from alcohol.
I believe when you become alcohol free you are forced to become better equipped and resilient when dealing with your emotions.

Dean Clamp Coach
Dean is a behavioural change and wellbeing coach, specialising in helping people discover and become the best versions of themselves. After going through a divorce and the death of his father from Pancreatic Cancer in a relatively short period of time, Dean was on a track to potential self-destruction. Jeopardising relationships, career and health. He asked for help and guidance. As he opened his heart, eyes and mind, he found the help and guidance he needed was all around him. The changes he has seen in his own life have been so overwhelmingly powerful, he has trained to become a coach so he can work with others to bring meaning, connection, sucess and happiness into their own lives.
